Book Reviews: The sense of an ending - Julian Barnes

This intense read follows Tony Webster to his past and beautifully portrays the reminiscence of his friendship, love, marriage, and the struggle to discover a non-anticipated legacy which leads him to an unbelievable truth.

The novel is an extraordinary tale of an ordinary man, who believes he had an average life until he receives a letter from his ex-girlfriend's dead mother who has left him a few things which will change the way he looked at his past deeds completely. The novel is an utmost sophistication delivered with an ever-engaging philosophical trail that compels you to read it over and over again. The ending of the novel will leave you bewildered and will open up a white space of your imagination and I think that is the best part.
